Line segment

One of the important topics in geometry is a line segment. I already discussed with you what is perpendicular lines, you can check my previous post.

I have a definition on line segment mentioned below.

Definition of a line segment:- Line segment is defined as, the points, which is joining on the both directions in a specific distance. In between the points distance in a line is called as line segment. A line segment is a smaller part of straight long and a thin line. It has two end points on both the sides.

volume of a rectangle

Friends i have some simple problems to learn how to find the volume of a rectangle. Observe the problems below, it also contains the formula which is used to find the volume of a rectangle.

Problem 1

Find the volume of a rectangle prism whose length l = 4 m and height = 6 m and width = 3m?

Sol:

Formula: volume of rectangle = l × h × w

= 4 × 6 × 3

= 72m2

Problem 2

The wooden box has volume 400m, width 10m and length 20m, Find its height?

Sol: h = ?, w = 10m, l = 20m

volume of rectangle = l × h × w

400 = 20 × h × 10

h = 400/200

h = 2m
